With canned green chilies, it's easy to ramp up or cut back on the amount to suit your family's tastes.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless pork center loin chops, 1 1/2-inch thick
  • 4 oz canned green chilies, chopped
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp ground cumin
  • 4 Tbs cider vinegar
  • 2 tsp oil

Directions

  • In blender container, place chilies, oregano, garlic, cumin, and vinegar. Pure until smooth. Marinate chops in mixture 4-24 hours, refrigerated.
  • Heat oil in heavy skillet. Remove chops from marinade, and cook 7-8 minutes on each side until internal temperature on a thermometer reads 160 F.

Serving Suggestion: Serve with mixed greens, cornbread twists and orange slices.

Cooking Tip: When you are in a hurry-turn to cuts that cook up quickly, such as chops, tenderloins and cutlets.
