The only Mediterranean-inspired pizza you'll ever want to make—fresh basil and tender figs all covered in melted feta cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups seeded and cubed, vine-ripe tomatoes
  • 1 Tbs chopped garlic
  • 1/4 cup shredded fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup chopped green or black olives
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lb fresh California figs, sliced
  • 12 oz Feta cheese
  • 3 8 oz balls of pizza dough
  • Salt and olive oil, as needed

Directions

  • Combine tomatoes, garlic, basil, olives ,and oil in large bowl; let stand at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 500F.
  • Roll out pizza dough balls to about 1/2 inch thick and 10 inches in diameter.
  • Spread with marinated tomatoes; top with sliced figs and sprinkle with cheese.
  • Bake at 500F until cheese is melted and crust is browned, about 8 to 10 minutes. Cut in wedges and serve hot.
