This aromatic herb is from the Ginger family, and in fact, is traditionally used much like Ginger- for relieving digestive complaints, nausea and motion sickness.
With an aroma and taste reminiscent of Ginger, Galangal has been used effectively down through the centuries for indigestion, gas and nausea. Common use:
Promotes digestion; flatulence; nausea; prevent fermentation; improves digestion; prevent motion sickness; stimulant.
Suggested directions:
Pour 1 cup of boiling water over ½ to 1 teaspoonful of herb. Allow to steep 4-7 minutes, then strain. Drink 1- 2 cups of tea daily. If desired, add honey and/or lemon to taste.
