Lungwort is a perennial plant that grows in shady, wooded areas. According to herbal folklore, its lung-shaped leaf was a clue to its beneficial properties, hence the reason for its common and genus names. Today, however, Lungwort is recommended for external use due to its emollient properties.
DID YOU KNOW: Lungwort is a source of the skin-nurturing compound allantoin, which is also found in Comfrey?
Herbal emollient (topical skin care herb that smoothes and softens the skin).
For external use only. Do not apply to broken or abraded skin. Do not use when nursing.
