Common use:
Gentle, soothing support for the mucous tissue, such as the throat and respiratory systems (tea, gargle); soothes urinary tract & gastrointestinal health.
Other Uses:
Soothes itchy, irritated skin (wash, bath herb). For external preparations, some herbalists recommend a cold infusion to more effectively extract the herb’s mucilage (a soothing, gelatinous substance).
