Pau D'Arco is used historically by the indigenous peoples of South America and now by modern day herbalists.

This Amazonian native is sometimes called “trumpet tree” which refers to its tissue-paper-like, trumpet-shaped flowers. There are more than 60 species of this beautiful, flowering tree with blooms that range from pink to yellow. The inner bark of both the pink and yellow flowering trees is used by the indigenous peoples of South America and revered by Western herbalists.

Taste: Woody, tannic and slightly bitter.

Yellow Pau d'Arco bark (Tabebuia serratifolia).

Suggested directions:

Pour 8 oz freshly boiled water over 1 tea bag. Cover cup & Steep for 10-15 minutes. Squeeze tea bag to ensure maximum goodness in your cup. Enjoy 1-4 cups per day. For a more concentrated brew, simmer 4-5 tea bags in 1 quart of water for 45 minutes. For Adults Only!
