The flowers of the False Acacia tree are primarily used to soothe and protect irritated skin and tissue. Classic herbal guides also list Acacia flowers as a mild laxative for the relief of occasional constipation.
NOTE: Even though it shares the same common name as the popular Acacia Gum (Acacia Vera), this species of Acacia (Psuedo Acacis) is not the same, though it does have similar soothing properties.
To prepare as an “instant tea”: Pour 1 cup of boiling water over ¼ to ½ teaspoonful of powder. Drink 1-2 cups of tea daily. If desired add honey and/or lemon to suit taste.
