Maiden Hair is used in traditional herbal medicine as a respiratory tonic, and was reportedly used in the Middle Ages as a tea and syrup for bronchial health.
Interestingly, because the herb resembles maiden hair, hence the name. It's been used as a hair tonic and in hair rinses to promote dark hair color.

Pour 1 cup of boiling water over ½ to 1 teaspoonful of herb. Allow to steep 4-7 minutes, then strain. Drink 1- 2 cups of tea daily. If desired, add honey and/or lemon to taste.
